Looking for a room. Number of beds doesn't matter. Currently staying in Williamsburg but we'd prefer a place in Iowa City or Coralville. Long shot but worth a shot.

Better keep the room in Williamsburg. Have heard the closest might be in CR but those are probably less than desirable spots. Might be ok when you go to bed drunk after an Iowa victory, but not a good place to wake up to.

Yeah Cedar Rapids is the closest location. Coming from SW Iowa so Williamsburg made a little more sense. And like you said the place we're staying at probably won't be as run down as a lot of CR hotels.

Just kinda hoping someone would have a last second change of plans and was looking to get out of a hotel they can't cancel.

Everytime i walk by the front desk, i hear the clerk on the phone snicker when everybody asks "do you have a room for Saturday "

Most hotels have a same day cancellation.

Your gonna pay about 200-300 dollars a night in IC/Coralville.

Stay in CR and save yourself some money.

I'd rather not have to worry about cabbing it from Cedar Rapids to Iowa City and back at 2:00am Saturday night. Not to mention a cab one way is around $60. Would rather stay in Iowa City or Coralville and spend a little more money on the hotel.
