Fine, but your post said 50% chance he goes. Joe is a smart kid, do you really think as of right now he thinks he's playing in the league next season?See my other post.
I don’t think he’s ready, but he’s the one deciding not me.

I am in no way dissing on Joe W. I think he has and will do great things at Iowa and I'm thrilled he is a Hawk. My post was in answer to posters saying he would be considering leaving for the NBA, to their COMMENTS not about his struggles.Let's support JW regardless of what happens today or in the future. Next game is an important game.
I hope Ogundele plays backup minutes to Luka. We will need him the following year. It's better to get that experience on the court rather than practiceI agree with this. It's a tight-knit group. If anything, I see one of the guards and Ogundele redshirting.I think everyone comes back

Here's my 2 cents on next years roster....
Till will go back to being a walk on or move on.
Pemsl could move on after graduating, if he does decide to return, Fran could put Connor back to walk-on status.
PMac is the unknown, does he find the right medical concoction to allow him to overcome a possible "bipolar disorder", if you had listened to Connor on HawkeyeNation podcast he talked of Patrick having good days, bad days, just a guess, no need to pile on, it's just a guess. Video I've seen of him, he appears OK.
Connor could play for 1 more year and then concentrate entirely on his baseball ambitions his senior year.
Garza comes back, Weezes comes back, Bohannan comes back, Fredrick, Nunge, Toussaint, continue to improve that's 8 returning veterans.
The Murray twins will be over 20 and a half years old by the time next season starts so I highly doubt that either will be redshirted.
Ogundele could provide additional support behind Garza and Nunge while learning all he can from both players.
That leaves the question of how Fran will utilize Perkins and Ulis, with Bohannan, Connor, Fredrick, Toussaint, & Weezie returning, I could see 1 or both redshirting but since Perkins is the taller player, I'd redshirt Ulis. This is all hypothetical as there's still 8 more months to go before the start of practice next fall, but by the summer workout all the questions should be answered.
I think he would be better off by having a year to get in shape and learn the defense/offense. He is relatively new to basketball so there will be a lot more teaching than usual. I look back to other players Iowa have had to either didn't redshirt or did and gained from it. The latter group seems to do much better. Nunge really needs the time on the floor as HE will be stepping into the main role after Garza. Ogundele will be his backup down the road. Iowa will have Nunge and a lot of 6'8" - 6'10" players (Ogundele, Patrick, Kris M, and Keegan M) compared to what they have for healthy inside players this year (Garza, Kriener, and Pemsl). I think OG is the guy who stands to gain the most from a redshirt year.I hope Ogundele plays backup minutes to Luka. We will need him the following year. It's better to get that experience on the court rather than practice
