Seems pretty clear the staff has a much shorter leash for Padilla than Petras.
KF just asked in his postgame with Iowa radio why Padilla was pulled and he simply said "it was a gut feeling" and "he was struggling to finish drives" and they thought a change was necessary. No injury to Padilla. Obviously quite a different degree of patience with Padilla (or lack of) than at any earlier time with Petras.
