I have never seen this many Cyclone fans here for the Iowa-ISU game. They seem pretty jazzed up for this one! Expect A LOT of red in the stands today.

There were a lot in town when I was a soph at Iowa. Ratio was different inside the stadium. It was pouring rain all day and Andy Brodell returned a punt 80 yards. A lot of people slipped and fell on their ass jumping in the stands. Or maybe just me.
Mor5e of them come to just tailgate. There will be lots of red (or whatever color that is) in the stadium but lots just here to party too.

Not as much as you'd think. I've been to the last 5 CyHawk games at Kinnick and none of them were like this
You could be right. Maybe the will be a few more people in the states but I am guessing most came to just be here for the party.
Im sitting at home and not leaving for another hour. I hate this game so much and always just want it over with. I promise to still be loud.
Another possibility is that there is a finite amount of places to tailgate since places are closed due to rain.
Are you sure they're all ISU fans? There could be a circus in town, multiple McDonalds shift changes and a mass escape at an area mental hospital all happening at once?

That was the ball game, and an earlier play at a LOT to do with it. Cyclone punt coverage guy was (correctly) called for interfering with the returner, and they gave Brodell too much room/time.
Heard there's a livestock show in CR today. ISU fans came down to pick out some dates before the game.

It was crazy coming into the gate at 101. All their band members were coming in at the same time. That said... I hate how annoying that band is. They play every down. Even when they give up a loss on 3rd down.
But they would kick our asses in animal husbandry questions on Jeopardy.
I was drunkenly chasing after a buddy during their downtown parade one time while they were staging and smashed through the drum people and caused a minor fuss. I just kept on running and felt stupid as hell.
Most probably came for tailgating and the party. Even ISU fans like Iowa City. They may have to scrape the cow poop off the bottom of their shoes before they get into the bar/restaurant.
