I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, but why exactly again is LSU badmouthing Iowa when thanks to the Hawks, they don't have to face what was supposed to be the best team in the country for the National Championship??

Someone who is at her 4th college and has multiple arrests saying something absolutely ridiculous. I am shocked.
They are who they are. When the coach is guaranteeing an all SEC finals in front of the media and the team that dump trucked them by 24 six weeks ago gets ambushed, the back pedaling is usually filled with trash talking. Not surprised.
Morris seems to run her mouth a lot, getting her into trouble along the way. She needs to be asked whether she has appeared in any videos of fast food or Walmart brawls.
Quite a difference between quotes from LSU and Iowa players. Sure glad I'm a Hawkeye fan. Morris seems to only be taking responsibility for 1 mistake when she's been arrested multiple times and for multiple reasons. Some very serious.
We have a pretty clear “good guys vs. bad guys” narrative for this game (using “guys” in a gender-neutral manner, lest anyone get their panties in a bunch).

I think people are making way too much of this. Seems to me this is a common expression when you dare somebody who is bad at shooting to shoot. Also LSU is good enough shooting the ball that Iowa likely won't be able to do this.
Guys is a genderless description. Excellent use of English and preparation for any reprisals. I dislike LSU very much except Reese who i think is kinda hot. Her coach more than makes up for that by playing a felon and wearing ridiculous clothing to get attention which she has a pathological need for. It's a shame that she has the need to draw attention away from her players and get it for herself. Definitely narcissistic tendencies going on there. Also the lack of remorse and use of excuses by Morris shows a lack of remorse and taking responsibility by her past crimes, some of which were pretty recent. The need to take disrespect from how Iowa played against SC shows a need for attention and reasons to play more physical than normal. I would expect that LSU's guards are going to be playing "dirty" with excessive cheap shots and physical play. Morris shows signs of dissociative behavior and seems to be making excuses for her future behavior.
I've a pretty strong feeling that the LSU players will regret saying anything after game. I'm also concerned about the negative response to losing from a Mulkey coached team. If they do get down and/or lose, I feel like some won't respond well at all. Also, it's fairly obvious that CC is a legendary trash talker. This is all probably much ado about nothing and we have to win first but I do have some slight concerns. Honestly, I mostly think it's because of how much CC probably talks trash really.
There are lots of parallels between Caitlin and Jordan, one of which is their mental toughness and ability to get inside the opponent’s head. I have little doubt she’ll be messing with LSU players today on the court — especially Morris —and I fully expect it to work in our favor. She’s a step ahead of everyone, both physically and mentally. Really not concerned about it — I think it will give us an edge.
I may not like LSU but would definitely enjoy punishing Angel Reese! Maybe a slight spanking.
