I feel bad for her. I think the pressure is just killing her game right now. Hope she resets and lets the pressure roll off her back. Play your game, Lucy!
Lucy Needs a "re-set"

At this point I'm not sure it's possible or the season can be salvaged.
This offensive "system" we are running right now is not conducive to her game.
They certainly need the Lucy who started the year to get going again. Starting now as they are running out of games.
Disagree. Virginia Tech she had 20. Tennessee she had 23. ISU she had 25. Those aren't "bad" teams. Since the MSU game, she's struggled.
She is still getting the same shots up, they are just not falling. It has little to do with the level of competition.
She 100% isn't anywhere near the player Iowa thought they were getting that is for damn sure!
She was 100% what Iowa fans thought she was through 13 games though.
She thrives on spacing, which this team doesn't have as no one can shoot. 4 defenders ft line extended at most makes her mid range game next to impossible. Also makes post feeds a near TO every time. What's the fix? No clue. I'd say keep inserting different lineups (younger) and let them fly. The losses are already happening, at least it could benefit the future. Let the vets come off the bench and try to fill voids with 4 hard minutes at a time.
Nobody said it was impossible, just that it doesn't appear likely, which is true as of this moment.
Good comment. Lucy may be in a slump, like a hitter in baseball. She was about what most expected, and then she has just fallen off the radar the last several games. Going 1-6 at the FT line despite being an over 80% FT shooter? And just like with a hitter in baseball, if the player has a track record, which Lucy does, you figure they'll break out of the slump at some point and get back to being good again. But there's no guarantee. And time is running short.
True. Well put. I think Jan would be smart to bring Lucy off the bench tomorrow night. Not starting might take some of that pressure off and let her get that re-set. I don't see how it could hurt.

Not only do you have the pressure to lead the team in scoring Lucy, but we are going to add pressure to start now as well. Yeah, that is not going to work. ---Especially when your alternatives are not bringing any points to the board.
LO just needs some shots to drop, and maybe for someone else to contribute some points. If they aren't ever screening her open for a clear shot at 15 ft, I'm not blaming Olsen for what's going on.
