Lugo = Sorenson V.2?

you realize brandon will finish with 140 or so wins, 4 time AA, 2 time finalist.
This. He can be frustrating to watch because we all know he's capable of more than he showed tonight. But he's gritty and he knows how to win.
Watched Lugo over the summer and he looked extremely quick and athletic and was forcing the action - that was freestyle though. I would expect more action, but sometimes guys that want to slow it down and refs that just walk around with a whistle around their necks not interested in action can really slow down a match.
I get frustrated as hell watching Sorenson. I wish he would get to his offense more and put it out there. Coming out of HS did people think he would be as good as he is? He has great defense and almost never gets scored on other than by ,,,, something ford. Not a fan of fords, I drive one for work and have an exploder that I should get rid of. Other teams would kill for him and I know he is not a bonus machine but If he had a weight class like Heil he would be doing the same but better at it.
No, he will not be Sorenson. I hope he can win as often and more and since the Ford guy will be gone, who knows. I think Lugo, hits more offense, you will not see him do it against a guy like Sorenson but nobody has Sorenson's defense. I am not saying Sorenson isn’t worth his weight in gold. I obviously know his accolades. I wouldn’t trade him for any other 49er, minus 1. However, I was asking if Lugo is going to have a different style or more of a defensive dominant low scoring type
Oh I think he’ll be top 5. Wrestle Sorenson all year is gold.
Given his upbringing I'm downright shocked he’s still in school and wrestling as a 5th year senior.
I appreciate the hell out of the kid. People need to stop expecting him to be something he’s not.
I’m not expecting him to be something he’s not. This thread was to ask if Lugo is going to look the same in his matches, or be more offensive?
Did they wrestle in wrestle offs this year? Knowing obviously Lugo was gonna RS anyway? I can’t remember
There's a way of asking that without making it a passive aggressive jab at one our guys.
I've always maintained that Brandon is better than he may think he is. He has everything you need to have to be a multi time National Champion, IMO, and obviously that isn't going to happen.
Guess it's not his nature to let it fly and let the chips fall where they may match in and match out. I think he might be stunned on how good he is were he to have that mentality. We aren't going to find out, I'm fairly certain of that.
Outstanding career to this point for sure regardless. Tough hombre.

Considering Lugo has yet to AA, I would think you would hope he is another Sorenson. Not that I don't think Lugo can be successful, but I doubt he is going to be a threat to make the finals like Sorenson has for the past few years. Also, I've always considered Sorenson a class act.
Yep, we always want to see our guys light up the scoreboard, but to be fair, it’s really hard to legitimately complain about Brandon’s results. He’s just a guy who wins, and if all of our guys were as effective as he is in the W category, we’d win Nationals every year and wouldn’t have to worry about bonus points.
And don’t let his lack of bonus against average opponents fool you. The good news is that he wins the same way against the top guys. And I still haven’t given up hope for the big upset we’re all thinking about. He only needs to win that one by 1 — I’m sure we’d all be plenty happy with that.
