Yep…I was watching the game yesterday, not reading this thread. 😉 The Philly win won me $50!! Whoop whoop. 🥴
To all the Chiefs fans overly optimistic outlook about the coming season and beyond, your run is likely over. Sure, the Chiefs will probably make the playoffs next year, but I’d expect an early exit next year. They were a Paper Tiger. They won a lot of games by the skin of their teeth. Often come from behind miracle victories. It’s the NFL, nobody stays on top forever, and KC just had a dream run over many years. Enjoy it, but put down the koolaid lol.
To be fair we’ve been on top for pretty much the entire time Mahomes and Andy have been here which is 2018. Hard to be a so called paper tiger for that long but I’ll take your word for it. And it wasn’t long ago that Tampa Bay whipped our ass in the Super Bowl and we regrouped and won 2 more. They certainly need to make some changes to the o line but to call them a paper tiger might be a little over the top. Ravens and Bills might disagree every year.
My view of the chiefs is that they need a major overhaul on offense. 5 or so years ago the team had an unreal offense with freaky players. Hill left and now kelce is getting long in the tooth. They are getting slightly worse each year just as a function of aging in this brutal sport. They will always be good with Mahones, but they need other new players to compete against the best teams. My 2 cents.
What does prior years have anything to do with them being a paper tiger this year? Look, anything is possible, but Andy is getting old and Mahomes is gonna be on the wrong side of 30 next season. Still young, but he will be becoming less mobile every year. Lastly, there are 31 other teams in this league who are all trying to win a SB. They’ve been very impressive but nobody can continue that kind of success, especially with a salary cap.

You don’t go 15-1 over the course of the season and beat who they beat (Bills, Ravens, Texans twice, Bengals, Steelers, Broncos, Chargers twice, ) by being a paper tiger. This loss because it was in the Super Bowl magnifies everything. You’re 100% about how hard it is to keep this up in the salary cap era. And every year you need to keep tweaking your roster. Bills still stink on defense. Ravens always seem to have a better team but can’t do it. We need to get better on the o line and find another running back. It’s silly at this point to count out a team that been here 7 years in a row. And Brady was still winning in his 40’s. Mahomes at least 4-5 more good years in him at a minimum.
Yep. And the defense is young. Chiefs aren't done folks. Sorry to pop you balloons

I get a kick out of how fans of a team use the word “our” when discussing their team…as if they have anything to do with it. 🤔
That’s amazing…you must know the only people in the country that liked it. 😉. Nationally, it’s getting poor reviews, with some calling it the worst halftime show in Super Bowl history.
