Luke Garcia, PF HAwkeye hoops

It's the one on this site, saying he's close to a decision. Then it has his comments on Iowa and the other schools he's interested in. It is MY OPINION ONLY that after reading the article he makes more interesting and positive comments about the other schools. That leads me to believe he will pick one of them. AGAIN MY OPINION AND GUESS ONLY.

Gotcha thanks

The Woody bashing comment was undeserved of this thread, my apologies. I read both this board and the lounge. Got a couple of threads mixed up.

I still would not compare Garza to Woody at all, but everyone is entitled to their opinion. My eyes see a stronger Steve Krafcisin

Special K could get into a players head while on defense better than anyone I can recall. (At center)
Good call Dan. I hadn't thought of special K when I watched the Garza videos but yeah, your comparison certainly makes sense.

I agree with those stating Woodbury did NOT have a mid-range game. That's not a knock on him, as he had many strengths that contributed to Iowa's success. True, he did take a few mid-range jumpers from time to time, but many of those were bricks. Gesell took quite a few three pointers but nobody would confuse him as a 3 point shooter.
I agree that many of them were bricks. However, he also missed as many point blank layups and dunks as I've seen from one player. I think it's understood by all that Woodbury wasn't a great scorer, my comment was simply intended to say that both Garza and Woodbury have the shot in their arsenal, as well as a hook shot/back to the basket.

Also, I never said that Garza would end up being as ineffective as a scorer as Woody was. I've claimed multiple times in the thread that Garza seems to be skilled around the rim and could be a solid offensive player/scorer.

It's evident that I'm in the vast minority of people who sees much of a comparison between the two, and I'm alright with that.

Nothing wrong with having that opinion. Your opinion is no better or worse than anyone else's. I personally don't see it from the brief footage I watched, but I've been wrong plenty of times before.
