Mabin is having a busy day...

Not an excuse. Reality. And if you can't see the difference between a CB missing spring ball and those you cited, sorry for you.

And the excuses keep coming, now he missed spring ball so that's it. Niemann missed spring ball and seemed fine. So did Mitchell he didn't get abused.
 
Not a good game, but it looked worse on Mabin than it was. Safety was AWOL a couple of times, and the back-shoulder throw makes anyone look bad.

That being said, I expect to lean on King to play 1-on-1 more and give Mabin more help going forward. More stunts and an occasional blitz will make the QB much less comfortable as well.

Mabin played well most of last year, especially towards the end of the year, so I think saying he sucks because of this game is akin to:

I think he sucked last year too, so no jumping to conclusions. And the back shoulder throw isn't a 100 percent guarantee or even 50 percent otherwise every teams would do it every play. Mabin has no idea how to stay with a receiver, the slightest cut, stop, stop-and-go, he is behind by three steps.
