There's a special election in MD I believe in May and it should go to Harry Dunn. If 2 more Republicans resign now and don't finish their term that means Jeffries should be Speaker.

What’s insane about this currently is that there are enough - barely same republicans left in congress that know that if MTG moves ahead on her threat and forces a new round of votes for speaker, they might as well just hand the House to the Dems now.

To get this all straight. On Monday the Republican nominee is opening trial for criminal campaign finance fraud. Also on Monday, the same man is having a hearing to find out if the shady bond he posted for earlier financial fraud is legitimate. And now on the same Monday the Rs may be booting their own House leader because he opposes Putin.
