You realize that any "deal" with Mexico, is formally referred to as at "Treaty", which must be ratified by the Senate to take effect. Currently, the NAFTA 2.0 isn't even in force yet.
So, yes, we'd like to know about this "treaty" we've allegedly made with Mexico. Because it sure sounds like Trump just backed down after 50 Republicans in the Senate told him this path was a no-go.

Exactly how is this a "win" for Trump? That he got Mexico to do jack squat? Trump flung this out there without consulting anyone again. Congressional Republicans finally stood up to him on something and told him to go f**k himself. I'm betting there was an under the table threat that if he wants their support during the inevitable impeachment hearings he will drop the tariff idea as well. Trump concedes and makes a desperate grab to claim victory when he just got emasculated. Again. Lucky for him, he doesn't have to try real hard to save face with his base.
You want to know the first sign that this is Trump getting his ass kicked? He waited until the middle of the night on a Friday to do it.
