He is a talent but how effective will he be in Lester's offense with only fall camp practice getting used to all new teammates?
It is a fair question but I sense this guy is a pro. He is a student of the game. He is a leader of young men. He is talented.
THIS is the guy we need and i think they are going to be a bunch of fun to watch this year. REALLY solid o-line, running game, year 2 of a system and God willing a healthy QB for the year. Speaking of health I am glad this was a partial tear...kind of knew it had to be....and they did the clean up work and he will be throwing soon and full tilt before the fall. Iowa Hawkeyes deserve a break in this area for a change.
Great special teams and while this may not be a dominating PP defense, he ain't no slouch as a coach and his product on the field will be pretty good, especially with a few portal pick-ups.
Schedule is tough in the back half so getting out quick will be important which I think they can. Winning in the McDonalds trash bin is imperative!
Considerable experience mixed with promising younger talent working into the two-deeps - that’s good reason for optimism, especially if they can nail down LT. Legitimately solid IMO.

Granowski is a very good scrambler - that will help until the OL gels with a new QB and, as Lester has stressed, his offense will be more efficient going through a second season.
If they find that LT, I think “really solid” is an understatement. Probably very good to great.
Now, to your point, that if is a pretty damn big one. I think finding a one year rental at that position this spring is potentially the biggest factor in team success. Unless one emerges this spring. I think the talent is there.
