I don't think Hall's choice will effect Manville. Manville will be at least 1 weight class lower than Hall. Probably 2 but as many as 3.PSU followed by Manville decommitting and heading to NE (just a guess). Happened with Haines couple years ago and I just don't see room for Manville. I'm sure the PSU bloggers have a breakdown on how it would work though.

I basically posted the same thing dice did before he did. Of course I was more economical with my wordsGood post Dice. Actually makes sense and with all that said I'll say congrats now bc I think Hall is PSU bound.

The general thought among the community right now is that Lee is 49% Iowa, 49% PSU and 2% elsewhere. People don't believe Hall will be attending Iowa, because there is really no evidence suggesting that he willI'll be honest I am pretty ignorant on the topic of scholarship money and scholarships in general so I have a couple questions. Does PSU/OSU have the money to get Hall? If in fact they do then would either of them also have the money for Lee? Last but not least why has everyone counted Hall out from Iowa? I know he did not take an official visit but he has been to IC more than a few times and has (as everyone knows) very close ties with the Metcalfs. Also, where do people think Lee's going as of today? I think Hall is sheisty and if I were a betting man would not bet on him choosing any particular school. Thoughts would be appreciated

24...Not everybody needs to be on scholarship. For example, imagine you are Joe B. O'Donuts, one of the best wrestlers in the country from a well to do family in PA. You go to Penn State but get there at the tail end of the run of titles. So the O'Donuts decide to put their collective egos aside and ensure their son is part of a championship team. If a few families decide to do this, could have the makings of a helluva team.
I went to grade school with a guy named Rocky Fizzano. His family was in the concrete business - I crap you negative.I believe the O'Donuts are in the cement business and their "comfortable" so to speak.
Everyone not privy to PSU's scholly budget is just as ignorant as you on what money they have available (including me so you're in good company). What I will say is there is not a school that provides the 9.9 that wouldn't make it work for either or both of those guys.I'll be honest I am pretty ignorant on the topic of scholarship money and scholarships in general so I have a couple questions. I've always been under the impression that scholly $ offered to a particular athlete was done annually, so that it might be higher for an incoming recruit than say, for his 5th senior year after riding the pines for 4 years. In this way, it's similar to financial aid, which is recalibrated each year. Is this the case or so coaches make an offer and "guarantee" that $ aid for their career? Just curious how it works in real situations................if anyone knows, thanks in advance.Everyone not privy to PSU's scholly budget is just as ignorant as you on what money they have available (including me so you're in good company). "I was really interested in going to (insert any school) but they didn't have enough athletic scholly money left over for me" are words that will never be uttered by Mr. Lee or Mr. Hall, in public or in private.
With my extremely limited insider info. By that I mean absolute zero.Anyone know what Iowa offered Mark?

I am certain in saying, Iowa offered Hall a full ride.
Books. If he made the lineup they were willing to talk (no guarantees) about more in the future.Anyone know what Iowa offered Mark?
I think (and I may be totally wrong on this) that it has more to do with national signing day and Veterans day was just a coinky dink.I'm surprised this is taking place on Veteran's Day. May not be that big of a deal, but it still surprised me. Oh by the way, it's 11 November where I sit.
It is annual and fluid which is why I don't get it when people try to take guesses at scholly budgets. 25-45 kids on the roster each with whatever they are or are not getting subject to change going into the following year plus whatever money the next year's crop is getting or not getting. Not worth trying to figure that out even if you knew exactly what some of the kids are getting.I've always been under the impression that scholly $ offered to a particular athlete was done annually, so that it might be higher for an incoming recruit than say, for his 5th senior year after riding the pines for 4 years. PBS- initially my question was catered for you, but changed my line of questioning so didn't mean to quote you on this.
Copy all PBS. Guess what I should have said is I'm surprised national signing day occurs on Veteran's Day this year. I would have made a different decision, but then again I'm biased. There's a reason this is a national holiday.I think (and I may be totally wrong on this) that it has more to do with national signing day and Veterans day was just a coinky dink.
It won't be tOSU. It's coming down to Minny and PSU. Pretty sure ASU had a really strong weekend.
As previously stated months ago, Iowa has really, really good books. Some would say outstanding books. So that does need to be taken into consideration for totality of the compensation/offer........Books. If he made the lineup they were willing to talk (no guarantees) about more in the future.
