Zuckerburg was on Joe Rogan recently and talked about starting Ju-Jitsu 12 months ago…says he wished he’d wrestled growing up and seemed very sincere about his connection with combat sports now that he’s gotten into them.

Wow. I guess South Park was right about him….

“Ha ha ha ha, you are no match for my shtoile. Ha ha ha ha ha! Now I see you're trying to use your shtoile over mine. Now, you try to block me. [assumes a fighting stance]you've learned that you cannot block me, yehhhs?”

Just saw Tom Hardy in a grappling tourney. Guess he is a Blue Belt in BJJ.

So is Mario Lopez apparently.

AC Slater never could get the California pipeline going for Iowa wrestling, good thing he transferred, he'd have just been a room guy anyway.

Tom Hardy is also in the movie "Bronson" about the notorious British criminal with many famous prison fights. But warning, you might see body parts of him you weren't expecting. Thankfully he kept his clothes on as Bane.

Violence in movies is accepted more than nudity in most parts of our country. And that’s kinda odd to me.

Yea, and I wished I had a billion dollars. I would so like to wrestle this arrogant creep.

Yes Mario Lopez wrestled and he now competes in Ju-Jitsu (it was mentioned in the Zuckerburg interview).

Grapplefann you just put billion dollars, wrestling, and Zuckerburg in the same statement which was my point in posting. The guy seems to have a strong connection with athletics and sports and wrestling in particular, who knows what it will mean when he starts giving back…I mean, even if he is a creep just as long as it isn’t John DuPont creepy but that doesn’t seem to be the case here.

Zuckerberg never gives money without strings. He's one of the most self-serving guys in Big Tech. "Giving back" to Zuckerberg means gives back to himself. Besides, his money is dirty money, made by selling our private information. I'd steer clear of this guy. We want money from people with Wrestling's best interests at heart, like some of the guys with deeper pockets on this board, even if they are tiny compared to the Zuck's.

Don't know much about him specifically although I do appreciate he is a polarizing figure a lot of people have opinions on.

Just because he’s a famous rich guy that wishes he would have wrestled doesn’t mean that he’d be a good ambassador for the sport.

It’s good to know that at one point he was “interested”in wrestling, and seems to enjoy mma, but he was on Joe Rogans podcast, and I think there’s a better than fair chance he was sucking up to the host. I guarantee his team told him to bring it up…because it would play well with his audience. He comes off as disingenuous and squirrelly every time he opens his mouth.

Not uncommon for people to look back on their life and wish they had done something tougher when they were younger. I'm not a fan of Zuckerberg. I don't care for his behavior or the way he runs his company, but those are his choices to make. Still cool for him to give wrestling a shout out, even tho I don't believe he'd stick with wrestling if he actually could go back in time.

Never really though about it dub but you're right. That's pretty messed up.
Awhile back, a dude went to classes naked at Berkeley for months. A person finally complained about the hygienic aspect and the University then required him to sit on a towel during lectures.

A 'friend' you know, right?
Lol Nope. Just read all about him.

On the other hand, getting naked was a common occurrence at Dead shows in the west coast back in the day. Nobody cared really cared.

We had outdoor co-ed showers at one run of Dead shows in Sacramento. it did feel a bit odd showering in front of hundreds of people, but hey…

I don't buy it. He's pandering for props. Just another rich kid who woulda shoulda coulda.
He may not have any talent, balls, or conscience, but he's got money. Show us the money.

Maybe wrestling/combat sports are providing him with some real life feedback that’s humbling and gonna help ground the guy but that spotlight he’s under is bright so who knows.

Why? Seems like he'd reach a shit ton of people.
There's more at stake here than "reaching" people. He's a POS that made a fortune off collecting people's personal information. Billionaires always try to control the narrative, so now he's pretending to be a combat sports guy. The only humbling Zuck needs should be done by the federal court system.
