Something to tuck away, we just beat:

2013, Jajuan Johnson Jr, Rivals #35, 4*
2013, Luke Fischer, Rivals #94, 4*
2013, Duane Wilson, (All these are Rivals) #51, 4*
2014, Sandy Cohen III, #97, 4*
2015, Traci Carter, #90, 4*
2015, Henry Ellenson, #11 5*
2015, Haanif Cheatham, #76, 4*

We can talk about inexperience or whatever, but we just dismantled these guys.

But but. There will be someone to complain.

Am I the only one who thought Mike had more than 4 assists? He controlled the game on the offensive end, especially in he first half.

Seemed to me he had quite a few more. Maybe the way the whole team was passing Mike should get an assist to an assist? Man, when our offense moves the ball we are something to watch!

So we just beat a 7-man rotation of top 100 players? That can't be.

Yes Sir. ;) I'm big into the word "dismantled". But destroyed, wrecked, many choices will do......owned, some I can't put on here.

You know, we played really well tonight but I also thought we were very well coached tonight. We knew exactly what the Eagles were trying to do and we stopped them at every turn. We used our strengths against them and created mismatches all night long.

Ellenson might want to figure out what a double team is before he makes his way to the draft lottery. Boy the annoucer gushed over his game.... all 1-8 and 3 pts of it.

How many times have we heard that he is not 'elite' and thus not able to lead Iowa in this manner?

You simply have to shake your head and ask yourself why.

dammit Dan you know very well Fran's recruiting is catching up on him ... :p

Marquette is young but I would suggest if Marquette had the same players they have & our coach..it would not had been the blowout it was.

If their big guy is interested in playing in the NBA as some had touted him as a lottery pick...he would have been 100X better off playing for Fran than the short little guy....some day maybe these guys will actually wake up.

Well, we did shoot unconscious from 3-point land. You're going to win a lot of games vs even really really good teams doing that. Heck we might even be able to beat my T Iowa State if we play like that

We beat a 7 man rotation that would be very good playing one-on-one, but did not do so well playing one-on-five. I am not sure that there is a college team that plays a prettier game, offensively, than Iowa does when they are shooting well. The passing yesterday was superb--every starter had a positive assist to turnover ratio.

I don't expect Iowa to be an elite defensive team this year, but I do expect them to be well organized defensively. Last night was a great example. Outside of the last two minutes of the game, Marquette got nothing easy last night.

Uthoff completely shut him down. What a great performance by him.
