There is a thread on BHGP breaking down the ISU game. They have a Marshaun Coprich highlight video link. The first 5 minutes are of him blocking in pass protection. Pre-snap his head is on a swivel.

The next several minutes, are showcasing his running ability. Pre-snap his head barely moves. I didn't watch the whole thing but might be a tell.

Man, I hate watching Iowa play against offenses like this. It looks like a Northwestern or Tennessee style offense so you know we are going to be in for a dog fight. They are going to rack up yards between the twenties so hopefully we can hold serve in the red zone.

You can count on one thing from Iowa in its first game. We will not look efficient or well-coached. This game is going to be a struggle just like Ball State was last year. I definitely do not see us winning this game by 30 points. I will be happy to come out of this thing in the same fashion as the UNI game. I see 28-17 or something like that.

Looks like a high quality back. And their O is definitely "for real." Should be an interesting match-up. I certainly hope that our D is "ready."

The Iowa of recent seasons is in trouble. The Iowa of old takes care of business. Which team are we going to see this season?

Their own message boards are leery of their o-line. They're breaking in two new tackles just like Iowa is. Drew Ott is going to feast come Saturday. And evidently the offense has not looked good in practice so far in fall camp (we do know their front 7 is by far the strength of their D...their DB's are effectively all brand new).

You'd think Iowa was playing Oregon or Baylor, the love they're getting on this board.

Good point don't they only return 4 offensive starters. 7 on D. This isn't going to be the same team that lost to ndsu in title game last year even with 2 best offensive players returning.

Class act by coach Spack for not suspending Coprich. Guy sold drugs to an under cover cop. This is right out of the coach dantonio book of player discipline.

I'm not heaping praise on them ... however, I am being respectful in my praise.

Iowa's DL severely outclassed Iowa State's OL last year ... and yet it turned out to be one of their poorest and most embarrassing performance.

The last time I've really seen a highly talented Iowa DL "take over" a game against a quality opponent was quite a while ago. I hope to see one of those games sometime in the near future.
