Maryland to allow alcohol sales at FB games?

I think Kinnick Stadium should allow 2 or 3 sections to sell beer and drink beer only in those sections. If you buy a ticket in those sections you know exactly what you are getting.

Let me guess, you would also have to make an additional donation to purchase tickets in those sections.

It'll be interesting to see if it has any impact at all. I think they serve beer at TCF Bank Stadium during games. They'll have to sell it at Kinnick if we have another 4-8 season.

Minnesota has been selling beer for some time and I have not seen any more incidents than prior to the change. The beers cost about $7.75 and people still line up to buy the beer. Originally to get a beer, we had to go the beer garden under the large scoreboard for beer/wine, or head outside the coral area outside the NW corner behind the "visitor" section.

I have noticed that the 55-70 year old male demographic tends to buy a lot of beer, which has surprised me.

With the Vikings arriving last year, they opened up beer/ wine sales at all concession stands but eliminated the Summit tap craft beers, and left us with questionable 16 OZ choices. with the option of getting the Summit beers for the same price, but only in a 12 oz can. I saw more puking and sleeping by drunken fans at the Metrodome, but that might have been the stale, awful atmosphere.

For my money, with a group, I'd tailgate down in East Riverflats Park, then walk one mile NE to the stadium.

There have been very few incidents due to drunkenness, although a lot of people are slamming the beers at games, and that is probably on top of the tailgate beers. I usually ride my bicycle to the games and drink about six to eight 16 oz beers between the stadium and at Buffalo Wild Wings. I live five blocks from the train, so that helps as well when the streets are slick. Sometimes I stay at Buffalo Wild Wings outdoor tent postgame and drink a lot more, if the day is nice, or the win was a big one.

Sally's is open again, so that will be a good option as well, with the train platform located one block east.
