Maryland

Maryland has a pretty good defense. Iowa's offense has been....inconsistent at best. Still, as long as a downfield blocker doesn't kick the football a second before it is downed I like our chances.

Yes, I'm still bitter about that. I'm more upset about that than I am about the Cubs losing, actually. Nothing is more frustrating than watching a better team lose because of something stupid like that. I'm not saying I don't think Wisconsin didn't deserve to win, I just think that if Iowa and Wisconsin played 10 times Iowa would win the majority of them.

As a lifelong Cardinal fan, always good to see the Cubs lose.

Still friends?

As an Iowa fan, we should know all about how a good defense will keep you in games and allow a poor offense to just do enough to win a game.

With 2 mins left in the first quarter Maryland has 17 total yards on offense, and has given up over 125 on defense.

I’m not sure why OP started this thread.
And then of course their special teams returns a kick for 98 yards.

If that was Wadley he would have been called for taunting right there at the end of the return.

And right after the 98-yard KO return, Maryland intercepts a deflected pass in Michigan territory...

And now a pick....McLovin what gives? Just joking
This happens to me all the time. A couple years back I posted on fbook about UNI having a great win in the NCAA Tourny, then they blew that 12 point lead in like 5 seconds.

Also talked shit about Lebron and the Cavs when they went down 3-1. Then they came back and won.

Last year against OSU, I waited until there was like a min left before I started celebrating. I jinx teams.

Any given Saturday...

And I've read that, because of the lightning delay and more storms expected in a few hours in Ann Arbor, this game may be broadcast without ANY TV commercial timeouts. Only timeouts would be called by the teams and injury timeouts. They're also shortening halftime by a few minutes.

I’m guessing this is strictly because of the original delay. The next round of storms won’t be hitting until much later there.

That’s what the op does, start threads. They don’t usually make sense or aren’t usually relevant.
