Just having a bit of fun, everyone likes to look forward to future lineups to some degree ;)

Fun Fact: If these last 3 recruits come to fruition there will be a total of 7 top 10 overall recruits in the lineup at one point (Kemerer '15, Marinelli '16, Lee '17, Berge '17, Warner '17, Teasdale '18, Wittlake '18)

Recruits still needed to pull this off:

Class of 2017: Brady Berge, Jacob Warner
Class of 2018: Travis Wittlake

Also, I have Wittlake projected as a college 184, he's wrestled 160, and 170 in his FR and SO campaigns, looks to be a pretty stout 170, and would imagine he will grow into a 184 Dean-esque by the time he is a RS FR (build wise, shortish and built like a brick). As well as Warner at 197. Willie mentioned to not be surprised if he is a 197, coupled with Warners thoughts that hes up over 200 lbs already and is considering 195 for the season next year have me thinking he may grow into it by the time hes a RS FR.

Wittlake is only on here because it was posted that the coaching staff is growing on him, and he's growing on the coaching staff, I remain optimistic we can land him alongside Teasdale in the 2018 class.

Also, anybodys name who is not on this list is not meant as a slight, this is just how I envision things playing out way ahead of time, with just instinct to go off of.

* The years with the asterisk next to it indicate a team title winning year.

I like the way you think, Lax. I can't say I'd disagree at all with the Hawks winning 3 of the next 4 national titles. Not one bit. Make it happen!
We are the winners here. Us fans.

On another note lets keep the personal attacks within the posters and leave the young uns alone. We are too old to do drive bys especially when we can't even trust our own farts anymore, if you get my drift. eh, We Are...

We have some awesome line ups if things go right. Plus there will be a guy or two surprise everyone.

I'm liking the future of Iowa wrestling ... Going to be fun to watch the guys develop who are already in the fold. And even more fun to see what recruits we can continue to bring to Iowa City.

I don't see Lee and Marinelli redshirting in 2018. That lineup with both of them in it will be plenty salty in 2018 to make a run with Lee, Sorensen, Marinelli, Young, Stoll, Happel, Young etc...

That 2020 class is stacked and would have to be the favorite to win a title. Now if we could just get Gable Stevenson on board, it'd be a sure fire lock.

If one redshirts in '18 they both should redshirt. Can't win the title with holes at 125-133.

Redshirt Lee, they are not feeding him right in PA. Marinelli gets a taste and than let him sit to bulk up as well. Right now he is 57/65, make him a true 65

It'd be nice to land someone at 141 too. Seeing Turk/Happel in there in 2020 isn't that exciting. Can you go ahead and plug Murin in there?

Although not possible with Kemerer at 57, I venture to say that Marinelli does a lot better at 57 as true frosh this upcoming year than 65. I'm gonna go as far as saying that he'd be easily a top 4 guy at 57 this year.

Funny really that the BWI thread created to discuss this HR thread is three times longer. Can't make it up sometimes lol.
I find it funny that they're labeling this thread as overly optimistic, because of one recruit mentioned that isn't likely to come. Meanwhile, Daton Fix is mentioned on a daily basis over there. I would also be surprised if David Carr isn't a buckeye, and he has his own thread. I'm still trying to figure out why some PSU fans get so bent out of shape about Iowa fans being optimistic on their own board.

You make some excellent observations. We all have our blinders. I think Daton is a Cowboy. I think Wittlake is PSU's to lose. I think Iowa will be strong 4 of the next 5 years, and Tom will manage redshirts accordingly. Will be a fun period in wrestling. Everyone is upping their games.

I agree. It's always hard to tell exactly what is going to happen until they sign. Chad Red looked like a pretty sure thing and then ended up going elsewhere. With only 10 spots, some good guys that at one point wanted to attend a certain school are going to decide to take better offers. Look at Renteria and Mejia

As long as this doesn't cut into El-Jefe's world domination plan, I'm all for it!

Agree ... It's good for the overall sport ... While I would love to see Iowa dominate like it did in the Gable era ... I do like seeing other schools continuing to excel in the sport. It's good for the overall sport ... Now, we just need to make sure Cael doesn't become the next Gable! :)

If we land Warner the rest of the country is in trouble. He is the key to all of this.

I wouldn't say Carr to Tosu is for sure. It's said he wants to follow his brother who just got a new coaching gig.
Thats good, because I like our chances with Warner better than any other recruit yet to commit. I keep thinking back to that Todd Conner interview where he essentially made it sound like a done deal he wanted to be a Hawkeye.
