As much as I love Iowa WBB season once games start, the "Wait Until Next Year" period up until the first exhibition game has a special kind of anticipatory excitement. We are so excited to see what the freshman will add to the returners. Sometimes in my excitement about new faces, I assume that a freshman will replace an experienced starter, but in the last seven seasons, only Clark has started more than three games as a freshman. I assume that Heiden will be the next to start a majority of the games in her first year and (because only two players remain who started any games last year) may be joined by one of her classmates by season's end.
Last April, I shared a chart of the Iowa WBB starters going back to 2011-12. There were 11 freshman starters over the last 13 seasons. On the original thread,
@citizenHawk pointed out that context matters, which is to say, who did/didn't return should be noted as well as the injury situation. You can get some indication by looking at the complete chart.
I think this list may be an easier representation of freshman starters, so I include it along with the original table.

I edited the chart below to account for Sevillian's redshirt year. I chose to not call her a freshman starter since she had been in the program for a year. Thanks to
@UpstreamHawkeye for catching the initial error.
