Maybe Villanova is just that Good......

They definitely looked like Final 4 material tonight. Should be a heckuva game between them and Kansas.

Dude. If you watched our game against them, we didn't exactly play god-awful in the first half. They were just that much better. They shot a ridiculous percentage and they play VICIOUS defense. IDK if you were paying attention, but they spent a lot more time in the top 10 than we did. Wasn't an accident.

That is a real good team AND they are hot at the right time. Should be quite a game tomorrow.

Should be an interesting matchup.

New school Nova small ball likes to shoot 3s but plays really good D and rebounds well vs old school score in the paint UNC who struggles to shoot 3s.

Nova has the better guards, UNC has a huge size and athleticism advantage in the paint.

Nova is not going to be able to get rebounds against UNC like they could against all the other teams theve faced in the tourney.

Kansas was the other best team in the tournament IMHO, that was probably the championship.

UNC will offer up some sort of challenge I am sure, but I am not sure how big of one.

Really? The way Villanova is playing, I don't see how anyone can say with confidence that UNC will win the championship game.

Could go strangely cold in the title game, I guess. Pull an Iowa and choke.

Strange? UNC is easily the more talented team.

Nova is playing great and may win but there would be nothing strange about UNC winning.

I except a close game.

Vegas expected a close game, too...Nova was a 2 1/2 point favorite over OU. Missed it by THAT much. ;)

Nova whips OU by 44. Gotta go with them over UNC by at least 15. And then the cheaters will finally be losers.

UNC has more talent and athletic ability. Villains are playing great and may have a better TEAM. By team I mean they play together well and have done so for a while. Unspoken language well. That wins out more times than not. That NOT......happens to be when you're not actually playing the best team in the country. I'll take UNC for that reason. If the Villains beat UNC it will be well deserved and earned. For betting purposes I would take UNC.

If you are looking to throw money away I would go ahead and bet on that.

UNC is the more talented team, probably at every position. They should be the favorite according to Vegas. Nova's big man is going to have to play very well defensively and stay out of foul trouble. You can't expect another 70% shooting night out of Nova. If Nova keeps defending the way they have the entire tourney, this one should go their way.

I've got Nova close near the end but UNC never really threatening, probably by 8.

Game was a fluke, Oklahoma beat them in December by more than 20.
It was Iowa v Stanford in the Rosebowl 2.0 all over again

Obviously Nova isn't 40 points better than OU, but they were that night. Everything was going right for Nova just as it did for Stanford in Pasadena.

Or, maybe the fluke was what occurred in December. Nova dominated Saturday night. If it helps you to compare it to a football game, so be it - but, there was nothing OU could have done to prevent or change what happened on the court.

Many opine that the big xii was once again rated too highly from the get go. OU was afforded a fairly easy road into the Final Four. Nova is the real deal and it showed.

Not saying they are not the better team, just that the blowout was a fluke..stars aligned for one team and the other couldn't tie their shoes.
The comparison to football was just an example of what I just mentioned.

I think it should be painstakingly obvious to all Iowa fans by now that a team that took the floor in December will probably not be the same caliber team come March.

With that said, the 60 + point difference from December's OU/Nova game to Saturday's is, in a sense, a fluke. However, Nova is clearly playing like the team to beat and have been all tournament long.
