Sure, but I mean what exactly would anyone expect her to say, honestly. She is an ultra competitive type A personality. She understands the game and its nuances. She (obviously) has access to the head coach. What mother with two sons wouldn't take whatever advantage available to her for her sons to play as much as possible? It sounded to me like she has tried to distance herself as much as she can, sometimes to no avail which as she stated has led to some stress for her personally. I can certainly understand her dilemma.....

I would assume zero mom's have influence on PT by individual players and if they did, that is not right.

First off, we're assuming she actually has influence. Just because she may (Rarely) mention something to Fran, doesn't mean he lets it effect what he's already thinking. Second, there are ALOT of young men in college who play for their dads, so this situation is hardly unique to Iowa, other then there are two sons.
