Viral attack on Walz features fake former student making false claim

While Steele's documents played a significant role in initially highlighting the general friendliness between Trump and the Putin administration, the veracity status of specific allegations is highly variable. Some have been publicly confirmed,https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steele_dossier#cite_note-some_confirmed-26 others are plausible but not specifically confirmed,[25][26] and some are dubious in retrospect but not strictly disproven.[27][28][29] While the dossier played a central and essential role in the seeking of FISA warrants on Carter Page,[30] it did not play any role in the January 6, 2017, intelligence community assessment of the Russian actions in the 2016 election,[31] and it was not the trigger for the opening of the Russia investigation into whether the Trump campaign was coordinating with the Russian government's interference in the 2016 presidential election.[32] The dossier is a factor in several conspiracy theories promoted by Trump[33] and his supporters.

The BS dossier isn't even the story I'm talking about.
The Alfa Bank story just came from the same crew (Fusion GPS, working with the Hillary campaign). That's why it's mentioned in passing above.

Correct.
I think if he genuinely was the three letter agencies have already been so far up his ass they would have the proof.

You know about the 'two hop' rule, right?

When the FBI got the FISA court greenlight to snoop Carter Page, that meant in actuality everyone Page ever talked to on the phone or emailed, and everyone they ever talked to on the phone or emailed. Hundreds of people actually fell under the scope of that warrant.

You telling me the Trump team is so clever the three letter agencies couldn't actually crack the case?

Cool conspiracy, but not buying it.
So he sent covid Tests and shots to Putin out of the goodness of his heart? Then lied about it. Then after Russia came out, semi acknowledged it.

Did he send tests to any other foreign leader. My question is why? Why does he have such a close relationship with Putin.

I most certainly see it as negative. No question.
But I think we'll see worse things happen (in ways we can't even imagine yet) if politicians get power to censor the internet of things they don't like, or call lies.
I don't trust them with that power.

What if a campaign cooks up fake links between their opponent and the Russians and feeds that info to the FBI and the press?
Let us know when that happens. Read the Mueller Report before you reply.

So if this impacts an election, you are ok with it? That is what you are implying? If you have no negative consequences against schemes to effect an election what do you expect? This has been promoted on X. The day it came out I said it was obviously a manipulated video.
Nobody stopped it on Facebook and Twitter the last election with the false propaganda.

What propaganda? How about all the propaganda about immigrants killing everyone, eating our cats and dogs. Allowing trans surgeries in prisons. Shutting down the police departments, no one will come to your calls. Its all garbage.

It's no problem. Dems are all in on misinformation. They cheer it.

$100 says the content and Twitter account were generated in Russia.

Really, other than laughing about a couch in general they are much more about facts than republicans.
Check the Florida abortion commercial threads. Full on cheering for misinformation. It's the first amendment silly.

So he is a good liar
It's funny because I told ol wop that it was AI and a deep fake and he disagreed. I was trying to help the idiot out but he wanted none of it.

This has already been proven to be AI.

Par for the course for you.
Link. I don't believe that's ai.
It’s a deep fake. You can easily find that out. You posted the dumb shit, you can go look for yourself that it’s fake.
Seems like the kind of thing liberals would say is fake even if it isn't. Like hunter's laptop, Russian collision, etc. etc. etc.

You said it had already been proven a fake...but I don't think you know that, and your resistance to posting proof tells me as much.

I don't know if it is or isn't, but the guy seems sincere.

Poor guy gets fooled by videos all the time. He was really struggling with all of the fakes coming out after the Trump assassination attempt.
Yup, almost feel bad for him anymore. It's like trying to tell my 8 year old stepson that when a game says something is free online, it's never free. If it seems too good to be true, it is.

Dude, you fall for everything.

Go back and read what I posted on the first page. It has details your link lacks. Since that information was already known, it’s hard to believe those details were left out by accident.

What you have linked contains lies of omission. The most common propaganda technique.

According to an interview with the New Yorker, the independent researchers who uncovered the Alfa Bank/Trump link decided to hand over what they found to Eric Lichtblau, a reporter at the New York Times, in August 2016. A month later Sussmann brought data suggesting this connection to a friend who was working at the FBI. Sussmann claims it was provided to him by Rodney Joffe, a tech executive and data scientist who was his client at the time.

They were not ‘independent researchers’, it was Fusion GPS generating this garbage the same way they generated the debunked Steele dossier.

What does the Mueller report say about the Alfa Bank ‘ping’ allegations?

Do you recall?

I can save you the trouble. Not even mentioned in the report.

You said a lot of things there when you could have simply typed, “Sorry. I was wrong.”
