There isn't. There are edible plants and plant parts. We eat the fruit of certain plants, the leaves of other, the roots/tubers of others, etc, etc, etc.
But an apple tree isn't a fruit, it's reproductive parts are. Just as a potato plant isn't a vegetable. We just eat the tubers from it.
