Menards accused of price gouging

Wait! You mean if demand goes up, prices do?
The gauging they were referring to was charging 20 dollars for a pack of let’s say toilet paper that was 5 dollars in the morning, Similar things happened after 9/11. Gas stations charging 10 dollars a gallon for gas. Right after he public saw the towers go down. Personally it’s more about keeping individuals from pocketing unearned income from essentially theft.
Taking advantage of the public’s panic. There is a difference between normal supply demand trends and what these managers did. Spiking the prices like that also feeds into the whole panic buying behavior as well.
