I don't think that the guy's comment necessarily earns him the label of "jackhole." The point being that young people DO tend to use social media too much as an outlet to life ... however, they're cheating themselves of a lot of productive personal interaction AND they're potentially mischaracterizing themselves along the way too.
Too many social media platforms can illustrate somebody's snap-judgement on an issue - and that isn't always the best thing to do. Particularly if the topic requires thoughtful deliberation.
As Kirk's gentle reminder was to ISM ... through the literal media ... these young men really do have better things to do!
