Mexico's president on Friday warned US gunmakers they could face fresh legal action and be deemed accomplices if Washington designates Mexican cartels as terrorist groups.
"If they declare these criminal groups as terrorists, then we'll have to expand our US lawsuit," President Claudia Sheinbaum said at a daily press conference.

A new charge could include alleged complicity of gunmakers with terror groups, she said.

"The lawyers are looking at it, but they could be accomplices," Sheinbaum warned.

She said the US Justice Department itself has recognized that "74 percent of the weapons" used by criminal groups in Mexico come from north of the border.
On Thursday, the New York Times reported that the US State Department plans to classify criminal groups from Mexico, Colombia, El Salvador and Venezuela as "terrorist organizations."

Exactly. Trump will definitely stop drugs coming over the border.
Yeah, quite a bit of it. If you can’t admit the flow of human trafficking and drugs are already significantly reduced under Trump then I won’t be able to convince you otherwise. But that doesn’t make you any less wrong.

Trump border policy is SO much better for the US! It’s really not comparable.

I completely agree. There is so much data out there that proves your point. No more fentanyl will ever come into this country.

Convincing you is obviously very easy. Able to assert that without any data to back it up.

I sometimes wish I was capable of such simple thinking.

The Mexican cartels are terrorist organizations that are armed by US weapons.

Which ones aren’t these days?

He’s going to stop Americans who are bringing over 80% of the fentanyl across the border?

I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone so completely obsessed with such an irrelevant statistic. I’ve seen you make this same point at least 50 times and it doesn’t mean shit.

It doesn’t make a hell of a lot of difference who the cartels are using as mules to get the fentanyl across the border. The bottom line is that the vast majority of the powder originates in China and India and gets processed at pill mills in Mexico owned by the Sinaloa and Jalisco cartels.

How much of a reduction in drug flow is there?

What a shock, an entire government attempting to protect criminals and its kickback stream while propping up its deep state! Sounds like America's dimbocrats have much in common with the ruling faction in Mexico!

It is relevant to counter the false narrative being pushed that illegals are hauling the drugs across. I thought you were a stickler for accuracy? Stem the desire, stem the profitability and the traffic slows down.

It wouldn't be processed by the cartels if there wasn't a demand. We Americans like to blames others for our own problems.
