Okay I have had Covid as has my wife who caught it while working a Covid floor as a practitioner. So, you are trying to explain the Democrat view of Covid to me or what. How do you know more unvaccinated are catching Covid than vaccinated? The reason that is the popular spin is because those are the numbers being released to the media by politicians. Actual numbers from hospitals are quite different with most people who have Covid and are hospitalized have one big factor in common. Pre-existing conditions most notably diabetes, obesity and lung disorders. These people are mostly vaccinated in the hospital my wife works at. The numbers currently are also very high for the flu. More people on ventilators from pneumonia with the flu than Covid. It's very popular and convenient for politicians to put out numbers that fit their narrative.

I'm sorry that your wife has to work under all this stress. It must be very hard on you and your family as well.
Yes, pre-existing conditions are a huge factor, as is age. Nevertheless, vetted, mainstream data shows that a complete vaccination set (two shots and a booster) greatly reduce the chance of serious illness or death, at least for the next few months.
For the record, I'm not a Democrat, and I haven't been a Republican for many, many years and I really don't care about the future of either party. I really DO care that we try to stay as safe as reasonably possible.

Well, to be fair, those populations you mentioned are being tested far more frequently than the general population. More testing will result in more positives in two identical populations. I believe Trump even correctly pointed that out sometime last year. Also, they have a lot more close contact with each other than the general population. I think the morbidity and mortality rates in pro and college sports is much lower than the general population. Lots of variables in different situations.

It’s alive and will manifest itself differently in every individual. Though, the same can occur if an unvaxxed individual gets “ it and then recovers from the disease. Their body then contains antibodies which will recognize the disease.

This process won’t happen overnight but if we keep going at this pace, those that survive (excluding those with co-morbidities) will effectively weaken this virus to something more similar to the flu or a cold virus. Which isn’t an exaggeration, given that several cold viruses are from the SARS family.

A tough idea to discuss, but the reasoning is that some hospitals are being over run by unvaccinated Covid patient. Then patients with other diseases are unable to get care which can cause their loss of life.

It is not only the unvaccinated that transmit the disease. But the large majority of spread disease Is in the unvaccinated. If you are fully vaccinated you have a 70-80 % less chance of contracting Covid. If you do contract Covid, you have a 70-80% less chance of spreading Covid because you have a lower viral load.

Omicron is one of 3 known variants of this virus and its so new that saying anything concrete and correlating that to any attributed fact is a fools errand at this point. So I won’t even begin to walk down that road with you. I will say the majority of what I originally wrote is 100% true. The key is building immunity. It doesn’t matter how that’s done.

In regards to Omicron it seems like it set South Africa absolutely ablaze, but it may have already burned itself out. If this patterns continues towards the west this could be the variant that pushes Covid closer to the common flu/cold status. Time will tell of course.

You should know by now that the stats that are being fed to us are grossly screwed. Money has been working its magic. About everything is being labeled "covid".
