Since we are discussing topics such as human genetics, I figured I would ascertain who is going to Midlands. To me, I've always considered this the start of D1 wrestling season.

I'll be taking the Purple Line up to Evanston for day 1, unsure about day 2.

Not were the Purple Line stops but it is at the Sears Center this year.

I'm in on day 2. We bring our team every year from Western Michigan. We usually go both days, but can't afford 35 kids admission at the Sears Center this year. Tickets are triple the price that they have been.

9:30 a.m: First Session - 10 mats

7 p.m: Second Session - 10 mats - Championship and consolation

Saturday, December 30

Noon: Third Session - 4 mats - Semifinals, consolation, 7th place matches

7 p.m: Final Session - 3 mats - 1st, 3rd, 5th place matches

I remember going to the midlands during the 1982-1983 season for the first time with my high school coach. I watched Ben Peterson showing someone how to do a backover when your ankle is hooked. I remember watching Barry Davis wrestle. Someone stole my Walkman under the bleachers. I had it about a week (Big/expensive Christmas gift back then). I've been several times since but that is the only one I have really vivid memories of. Great tournament.

Two of us going. First wrestling trip with a friend I've known for awhile. His first Midlands, I've lost track, somewhere in the twenties for me. Different seats every session thanks to the messed up Sears Centre ticket office. I was going to boycott the high ticket prices, but he convinced me to go. I'll probably wear my shirt with TNTWRESTLE on the back to one session. If you see it, introduce yourself and say hi.

I’ll be there w/ 3 buddies driving in all the way from Sac City! Gonna have my Libertyville Wildcats Sweatshirt on Saturday. Pulling for Joey G. and all the hawks. Can’t wait to see Lee, Warner, Stoll, and Lugo. Wish I could be there Fri. but gotta work. Day 1 is the best!!

Elgin is 6 miles from the sears centre smart guy. A Heights is 16 miles.

Ok I’ll give u that technically it’s close but from the Jane Adams it’s takes the same amount of time / distance to get there bc 31 north to 90 is a bitch. But you are correct and I conced that but 90 % of fans traveling to the arena are coming from the east on 90.
