Military Question

Those in the know, are they supposed to (required) to wear the formal uniform to weddings? Seems like if I had the option I would always go with just a shirt and tie and not the whole get up.

I ask because I have seen photos of military friends at weddings, some in uniforms and some out. Who is breaking the rules here?

No they are not. It's a personal choice, and many times requested by family/friends.
