I think it's safe to say we'll know by 8pm next Saturday how good this Iowa team really is.

Very encouraging to see how well they're playing though, arrow pointing up for sure.

If we could somehow figure out a way to win one of those games, it would go a long way

2 tough games coming up, glad this one is in the books, quite frankly. Totally agree, we may have a much better idea about this team next weekend, then again, maybe not. To take one of these next 2 would be great, IMHO.

If we can steal just one of those. Maybe when Peter gets his shot back. Everybody played well again today. 14- 10.

Need them both or have to upset wisky or the terms on the road.so keep playing hard and well see how things play out
Nice win today.

The Hawkeyes have the bench depth to beat Gophers
on their court. The Spartans play on one of the toughest
home courts in America. Hope Iowa can go 1-1 on this
road trip.

About a 25% chance on each so don't get upset if they don't get one. Get one and this team has to beam with confidence.

Minnesota is going to be really tough. They are arguably the most athletic team in the conference, and are especially tough in the barn.

I see MSU as the more winnable game of the two

If ISU can win @ Kansas, then Iowa can win at Minny or East Lansing. Getting one of those would be terrific, but as along as it's still possible, I'm hoping for both.

As you know, a bunch of top 25 teams have been losing lately, even at home, often to unranked opponents, so let's enjoy this one and hope for the best the rest of the way.

One at a time. It's obvious that this young team has yet to play their best ball this year. They started to grow up with Jok hurt. It will be fun to see what the team can do as he gets healthy and integrates with the more grownup youngsters.

I would be thrilled to win one of two. We are young and just not a good road team. Glad we got that one at Rutgers as that may help our confidence a little. Here's to shooting well in the barn.

Need Pete to keep healing, because these are games that it will be really hard for the young guys to win by themselves. Both games are winnable. Even one win would put the Hawks in a good position to at least finish in the top half of the B1G and get into the NIT field. Goofers and Sparty are both very mediocre teams.

7 regular season games left

IL, PSU - have to win both of those or no postseason chance at all
MN, MSU, IU - need to sweep these, or 2-1 for a chance
WI, MD - can go 0-2 if we win the rest, must go 1-1 if we drop any other games

Lose just 2 more and NCAAs are a decent shot at 11-7 and likely 5th place in the conference
Lose 3 or more, and we may not get any postseason bids. 10-8 in BT play MIGHT nest an NIT but 9-9 probably won't

Our young guns are really coming on. I still think Jok shouldn't of played today. He isn't close to
100%. These are two tough venues and haven't played well at either one lately.
Our best chance is Minny. They have a hard time closing out teams at home.

The doctors have to be trusted about Jok's physical readiness. But given that, Fran's got to start somewhere getting him back and getting the rust out. We haven't seen what a totally healthy Jok can do with the team that won 2 without him. That sum certainly has a chance to be better than the parts. And it's in Jok's best interest to adapt to the improving team- the NBA knows he can score. You could see him passing more for one thing- posting up vs continuing to chuck up 3s himself.

Jok will score 40+ against either Minny or MSU book it. He will have one of those nights and be on fire.

I hope we can go 1-1 on this road trip. Minny is the most athletic, but if their outside shot isn't falling, they become very easy to guard. MSU is MSU, IZZO has them playing good right now and they are turning a corner.

Were bringing a young team into the Barn but we have fared well over the years up there and it is not an intimidating place to play. I think we stand a decent chance to win up there.
If we can limit their offensive rebounds and limit them getting into the paint, we will get the win up there. We also need to keep our composure and hopefully our perimeter shooting stays hot.

The nice thing about our perimeter shooting these days is that it's not just 1 or 2 guys teams have to keep tabs or they'll get hot.
