Heard the "We hate Iowa" chants at the very end of the game. Was the only time I heard it all game watching on TV. Anyone else hear it prior to then?

Regardless, funny how animated they were about the chant when it was a foregone conclusion the Rodents were going to lose. LMAO. Nothing funnier than collective butthurt.

Got news for you Rodent fans. Hate Iowa all you want. You're not any good at football, so we couldn't care less. Let the butthurt flow through you. Illinois used to be an actual rivalry too. You guys are about as relevant as they are. LMAO. Chant away.

All that talk about TCF when it opens will be the toughest ticket in football. How Iowa fans will have to pay through the nose to get tickets if any are for sale. Thousands of empty seats despite a flock of Hawkeyes helping you out.

Then how it was going to bring in all these star recruits.

I remember yrs ago when Hawk fans wanted to can Ferentz and the big hire to replace him was Fleck. I agree he's a Mickey Mouse coach but I think a few Hawk fans should be eating crow about now.

Ironically, if the Gophers were playing at US Bank Stadium I think they would draw better and recruit better; their empty 50,000 seat stadium is an eye sore (looks horrible on TV and to recruits). Also. now that the temp is dropping, do you really think people will buy tickets now? They might buy them if they were playing indoors, at US Bank

Yep. US bank is a beautiful stadium and indoor. Makes it easier to watch bottom feeder football indoors in MN

Still have to pay through the nose for their over priced tickets. Had to up the price so that Hawkeye fans didn't take over the stands.

No doubt. Minn is falling to Ill level of a rivalry over the last 30 years or so.

Iowa’s just eliminated them so many years in that stretch that it’s a shock when we leaving lose to them.
 
I like how the BTN announcers mentioned several times about the great crowd and least once packed stadium. Yet when planned out showed plenty of empty seats. Pretty pathetic for a 50K seat stadium.

Espn shows attendance of 48,199. They can thank Iowa fans because I could only imagine how much smaller it would be if playing someone else besides Iowa or Wisconsin.

"The 50,805-seat "horseshoe" style stadium cost $303.3 million to build and is designed to support future expansion to seat up to 80,000."

They can add 30,000 boat rowin' mannequins!

Now that you bring that up I remember Fleck talking about how he’d like to expand the stadium by 20-30,000 more eventually. Can’t even get 50K imagine how empty it would be if they were playing in a stadium the size of kinnick or larger.

The weather will be the biggest factor going forward for Gopher fans. That's a 5 win team if everything goes right.

And to think... they canned Tracy Claeys for this clown. Fleck sure conned the AD on this hire.
