Missed opportunity - Foul out Clark

I think Lisa probably did the right thing by taking out Clark in the 1st half with 3 fouls, but we didn't have much of a chance without here in considering the score at that time. She could have left her in and forced the refs to foul out the face of the sport.

Also, when people say "look at the score, the refs didn't decide the game." I completely disagree. Same with in mens basketball, it's a game of runs and momentum. What would the outcome have been had the refs called a tech on LSU when the coach was on the floor? Cut that 7 point lead to 4-5 and it's anyones game. Unfortunately, instead Monika and Caitlin pick up their 4th personals (and technical) and it's game over.

Carson from LSU was playing between 7-12 minutes a game in the tournament, but because Poole had two fouls in the first quarter, she got to play the entire second quarter and went off. Refs impacted the game.

I always get a kick out of the people that look at the final box score and say the fouls are the same so it was equally crappy for both teams.
This is such BS, if one team is committing a lot more fouls then the other team, it should be called for a lot more fouls then the other team. I hate that refs always balance out the foul disparity.
Teams should start playing bench warmers right away and commit a bunch of fouls just to get them out of the way and then play physical ball the rest of the half and dare the refs to call fouls.

You are 100% correct. We cut the 19 point lead to 7 and had momentum. That was cut off at the knees with a foul on MC and a technical on CC which gave LSU 4 FTs and possession. Game over and Iowa's best players on the bench ending the run and cutting off momentum. I am still sick of what those officials did and how Mulkey was all over THEIR officials, out of the coaches box and nada. Most biased officials I have seen all year and they should be banned from any further officiating. Just sad they can't be persecuted.
