Surveillance video shows 68-year-old Chang Suh being stomped on and hit in the head at least a dozen times - twice with a hammer while robbing his jewelry store. Put him in a coma and paralyzed him. Jury couldn’t decide. WTF? Gonna retry it apparently.

It seems crazy how the jury failed to reach a verdict in this case. The guy- not only was he caught on video committing the robbery, but he was also found with stolen jewelry which he was attempting to sell. Two pawnshops have him on tape trying to pawn jewelry and they found the bike that he used to leave the scene.

My guess is they couldnt decide unanimously on conviction on the charges with the highest penalty. It doesn't list the charges in the article but my guess is there is a charge or charges related to attempted murder in some form.
