I can't think of too many reason why he wouldn't. It's incredible how much he's improved since his freshman year.
I would say he is gone and good for him.
DeMuth from Indiana was drafted in the 8th Rd last year and moved up to the 5th Rd this year., but you lose all negotiating power.

I am not sure if Kuebel will stay or go. Conventional wisdom says a Junior drafted in the 38th round stays. However, the wildcard would be that it's St.Louis his hometown team since he is from that area. I sure hope he stays as I really like what Iowa has to build around for next season minus Yacinich who I assume is gone.
I think Sasha will stay, also glad that Booker didnt get drafted. Also saw they signed a new juco pitcher, Connor Grant.
Yacinich signed and according to his twitter Sasha also signed. With Sasha I think it was a case of if 29 other teams drafted him in the spot he probably plays for Iowa next year. I think St.Louis drafting him had a lot to do with it.
It sucks to lose Sasha as we started to see the old him after that Indiana game, but it is what is. I like what we have coming back with Mathews, Hickman, and Peyton. In addition it looks like our injured guys will be back and some juco guys coming in.

Sasha really signed? Wow, that's surprising. I agree, though, he wouldn't of signed had it not been for the Cardinals drafting him; he's a lifelong Cardinals fan.
His departure certainly brings some clarity to next year's rotation and I don't think there's any way Hickman isn't a weekend starter.
I agree it is surprising to see someone drafted in the 38th Round as a Junior signing, but I think since it was the Cardinals that is why. I fully expect if things go how I think they will Hickman will be a top 15 round draft pick next year and gone as well.
