Again, who is calling for him to be cancelled?
Most of what I see is people calling him a stupid drunk moron who is potentially damaging his lucrative career by acting like an asshole. Seems like an accurate read of the situation from where I’m standing.
This is what confuses me as well.
Just as annoying as the woke culture (dumb name anyway), is the culture that pre-emptively bitches about things not actually happening.
You're smarter than this, Torbee. There are other places to read other than HROT and the Quad Cities newspaper. Get on the cesspool of twitter and read the cancelling yourself.
So, the only cancelling I have seen so far is that iheart Radio has taken off his music from their platform. They have made a corporate decision not to carry his music at this time.
If you have a problem with that, take it up with them.

I am talking about the individuals who are all over twitter/FB/whatever else people are on trying to say he's a bad person and ruin his career when, I would think, 90% of them have never heard of him or his music. It's the whole "someone was mean/said something I didn't like so I am going to make sure I try and ruin their lives" crowd.

I am on Twitter often, following legit journalists and sports reporters I like. Oddly, I don’t see a lot of crap cancel bullshit. Maybe people should be more discerning when they create their following list?

He'll be fine. He just dropped the n-word and pretty obvious he was comfortable using it. It's not like he was three "chicks" from "dixie" that had the audacity to question the Iraq war and was ashamed. That would kill his career.

I follow mostly sports and music related people. But I have a few liberal friends from college who retweet stuff all the time.
Well, a Major Radio outlet has "canceled" him, so I'd venture to say others will follow as media pressure will follow. We now live in a society that is pretty much one (screw up) and you're done.

As someone who’s mostly black-Asian even I don’t really care. If there are rules about it then rules should apply to everyone. If you have no problem if certain people say it then your opinion is garbage to me. iHeart radio plays songs that have the n-word in the lyrics.

He’s “suspended” from his record label. His album just came out, so he’s not due to record for a while. This feels like Urban Meyer suspending players for the off-season.

Saying that word is certainly wrong and the issue in my OP was the people trying to cancel him for saying it. I would assume these people have never done anything stupid in their lives. Those people are the woke crowd.
No doubt actions have consequences. I agree wholeheartedly. Just to try and understand where you're coming from RE: Wallen, for an example, a powerful person/influencer on social media who had never heard of him before and had no clue this guy even existed before this incident. They are on social media calling for his head and to cancel him. Is that right?
RE: the capital thing, I picture zit laden nerds sitting in their mom's basement at 25 years old trying to find these people on the internet to turn in. Don't they have something better to do? Again, snitches get stiches unless it was one of the folks that killed a cop then turn em in and burn em in hell.
