Most game ready depth in Ferentz tenure?

With the exception of WR and LB I can’t remember a time I felt as positive about all our reserves stepping in and playing well.

I’m feeling 9-3! With a win over Wisky!

If Iowa beats Bucky, they should go 11-1 this year.

Of course, that record doesn't reflect the typical WTF? loss that's about an annual tradition, so 10-2. Losses at Ped State and...meh, Indiana.

I’m worried about the OL most and then punting. If that OL is not up to par it’s going to be ugly.

I think our opening 4 games are really tough too. Two sneaky opponents in NIU & UNI mixed in with 2 really good to great opponents in ISU & Wisky. We’d better come out firing on all cylinders this year. We can’t afford that we’ll better in November stuff.

Agree that o line depth is very precarious and IMO the N Ill. game could be much closer than many believe.

Yep, said earlier that if Iowa beats Wisky, then 10 wins is the minimum.

Biggest concern OL,quality of depth, very thin. Not worried about WR's.

I am concerned about the wide receivers. One of our starters (Smith) has shown absolutely nothing. ISM has flashed but very inconsistent. Easley is the only WR that has shown much of anything at all. I am plenty concerned with the WR's as a unit and individually.

We’ve won a number of games with marginal and inexperienced WRs... but we can’t even get the ball out to anyone if we can’t block first. Offense starts with OL.

I have concerns about the O-Line as well. I will feel much better when Wirfs and Jackson are back in the mix.

Agree... what happens if either guy goes down with an injury when they are playing? Even an ankle tweak. We have to have another couple of guys who are ready to step in. Maybe we do?

The last time we went 4-8 ... we lost 2 key lineman on back-2-back plays in Brandon Scherff & Andrew Donnell. Season went down the tubes in a hurry.

WR is important too but to me that’s #4 on our list offensively to OL, QB, backs & TE and then WR

I'm not as worried about Indiana as I am Purdue

I'm not worried per se about Indiana either. My point is most years Iowa loses to an opponent that makes you scratch your head and go WTF?

In fairness, Iowa has had plenty of seasons in which they have a game that makes you wonder where that team has been hiding. I.e Ohio State 2017, Michigan 2016.
