at one time? Last night I decided to wander over to the casino and place a few sports bets for today. I was up at the bar having a few drinks and this slot machine kept screaming at me. So I took $40 out and decided to give it a go. Ended up hitting for $5700. Thats the most I've ever won at one time. Not to upset about it.

Two weekends ago, the lady and I walked out with $825 from roulette.

Poker; won $700 at Aria, and in the $500-$600 range a few other times.

On a cruiseship a couple of years ago, I had the best run on a craps table that I've ever seen; had the dice for over a half hour before finally crapping out. I was betting small, mostly table minimum on pass and come bets, with some odds bets behind them. I was up over $2000 when I finished. A guy on the other side of the table was betting pretty big money; I have no idea how much he won while I was rolling but I'd guess he had to be up at least $50 grand, probably more. I saw him by the pool the next day & he grabbed his wife and told her "that's the dude that won me all the money last night!"

Holy shit I knew that was you! Way to try to conceal your identity ya jabroni.

The 2/5 game is as juicy as ever down there these days.
Hmmmm, this is relevant to my interests. But I hardly ever play anymore and the last time I did it was the most frustrating 5 hours I’ve ever spent at a table. I had to grind and play my best to come out down $100.

Made me seriously doubt my game, ya know?

Sometimes you're just card dead. In my experience it's pretty hard to bluff big pots in those games, so it's pretty damn easy to win IF you're hitting some hands.

Once did a tax return that had over 200 W2-G. Had over 500,000 in winnings, had over 700,000 in losses for the year. Net -200,000.

I was doubting myself Saturday when looking at one of your 600 yard 5 pars. Holy hell did I know I was in trouble. And I was right.

A little over $15K after the hottest blackjack run of my life.

Most proud gambling moment was a birdie on 18 after a day of pushes and presses to win $6,000. I think my hands shook for the next week after I rolled that putt in.

About $8 grand playing high stakes blackjack at the Cosmo last year with clients. I'm guessing that got me about even over the previous couple years. My client's are high rollers and my dumb ass always sits down at a table level I shouldn't. I admittedly do not win half the time i play blackjack, even though i play by the "book" and take every chance to double i get, ect....

Poker wise (which i consider myself better than average in a limit game although i am sure everyone thinks they are) I have won upwards of $4k-$5k in a sitting playing $20/40 or $40/80 limit holdem. For the past 10 years or so I played at Canterbury quite a bit before Covid, haven't been out there since they reopened but i hear they are doing 6 handed, which i actually love. Favorite $20/40 table in the country though is the Bellagio. Nice mix of locals and tourists.

I typically don’t gamble. I work too hard to spend it that way. Plus I suck at it. I’ll play a couple slots but that’s the extent of it. However, I do enjoy watching people gamble in LV.

Have you done any lineups done for the Tour Championship? Gotta fade DJ at that salary, right?

Not yet. I’ll post my core later this week and @FAUlty Gator and @hexumhawk and others usually jump in too.

I’ve been on the DJ fade train for two weeks and have been getting worked by that decision like a part time job, although Rahm, Finau and Niemann saved me just enough to make it okay last week.

I'm entering 1 lineup in the $200 Single entry and I'm fading DJ and Rahm due to high ownership only. With only 30 players there can be plenty of lineups made.

My current lineup (subject to change) is:
Ancer
Finau
Horschel
Morikawa
Reed
Simpson

I'm biggest on Simpson, Finau, Reed and Horschel. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason or pattern for previous winners. All kinds of players have won.

$61,000 three weeks ago. Gulfstream Pick 6.

Back in 1970 the wife(you don't want a pic) spent 1 day in Vegas in route to Cali for our honeymoon.
We each had $50.00 to spend. I lost it in about an hr.
She was up $20.00 so gave me $30.00. Lost that in about 1/2 hr.
Decided gambling was not my forte.
I remember about 10 yrs ago I was traveling across Iowa and stopped at a few different places to by lottery tickets at each one Spent $0.00 in all. Won $7.00 out of it.
Never gambled again.

CSB- I was down there for the $30 Donkey tourney a few years back when some Chinese chick hit the bad beat for ~$80k. The guy that beat her got ~$30k, the rest of the table ~$3k. Crazy.

Back when I played I had a couple of nights where I won around ~$2k playing 1/3 no limit. Got kicked out of the poker room on one occasion because I kept cleaning out a couple of guys who were regulars and didn't appreciate it. Casino dick said I was drunk, but I never had one beer the whole 3 hours I played. Table was PO'd that happened.

Good lineup and agree with the DJ and Rahm high owner philosophy. Ancer has been spotty and Morikawa coming off a bad week for him so I would think he rebounds well.

What percentage are winners in the end?
That depends on what your game of choice is. Blackjack and craps have the best odds if you play with the odds. The casino still has an edge, but you can limit your losses. I don't enter a casino expecting to win as I treat it as recreation. My best result in blackjack was a $2,300.00 win. Casinos in Iowa have terrible odds.

$1000, the casino in Marquette/McGregor...back roughly early 90's.

Blackjack, I was the only guy at the table, got there about midnight. I started out $5 hands, got up about $100, then bumped it up to $10. At the $500 mark, I began playing two hands.

The floor boss and the buddy with me (lost all his money, plus a hundred I floated him so he had something to do) wound up watching me and the dealer from roughly 2AM until 5AM as I slowly built up to about $1200. I was running out of gas by then, lost a couple hundred back...and left up the full grand.

Haven't entered a casino since.

I tell this story whenever the opportunity arises lol.

About 20 some years ago I used to deal meth. One of my customers won a thousand bucks at the casino and bought an ounce plus of crank from me. He and another customer i had went back to the casino and they each won a thousand bucks! I got 3,000 in sales in one weekend. I partied hard lol and I didn't have to risk a dime! Lol

I went to the casino in Osceola after getting my acceptance letter for law school. I won $100 on my third quarter into the first slot machine and decided that was enough for me. Drank free beer the rest of the night and watched everyone else lose their money. Good times.

He found something - played great Sat and Sun. I like Colin this week.

started with $20 on a $2 blackjack table and got up to 8k. Then dropped about $1500 on a couple hands of table max splitting aces on multiple hands.. and dropped another $1500 on $5 slots just to say I played them. Left meskwaki with about $5k.
I also won $10k on an 8 game parlay. I hedged my bets on the monday night football game and split the difference.
