Most underrated affordable beers...

Unfortunately most the affordable beers of today aren't what our fathers grew up with or even 20 years ago. Many are made with gmo corn and corn syrup. So I guess you will have to decide what is important to you.

Busch Light is one of the preferred Beer League go-tos.
Tecate as well.

I generally use those to boil brats in as well. Sometimes will add a can/bottle of something more flavorful if I have it.

I'm a fan of grainbelt, aka the friendly beer. However if I'm looking for cheap and affordable I'll just buy coors OG

Corn, by definition, is genetically modified. Just sayin.

Or rice. Miller and Coors products are still corn. AB products are rice. Surprised Terry hasn't passed a big tax on any non corn beers.

"Corn syrup" is specificially exempted from being labeled a "GMO". That's how silly the Granola Squad war on "modified" foods is. They cannot even agree on what a "GMO" is...

I’m resurrecting this thread to say that I refused to pay 9 dollars for a six of High Life at Target the other day, so said “eff it” and bought my first Natty Ice since college as it was 6 bucks. Very drinkable substitute for High Life in a pinch. I will now come to its defense if slandered.

Ever heard of the “Schlabst” aka the “Milwaukee Black and Tan”? One of the many noteworthy innovations from the great pro hockey/soccer executive, Peter Wilt.

In the cheap American and Canadian “adjunct lager” (ie rice, wheat and/or corn to go with the barley “lager”) my favorites in order are:

1) Kokanee Glacier Fresh - which I discovered in Calgary.

2) Coors Banquet - good enough they made three movies and it helped make FSU alumn Burt Reynolds a star

3) Miller High Life - Wowee Wow! The Champagne of Beers

4) Kalik Beer - Nothing better with Conch Salad or Cracked Spiny Lobster

5) Montejo - best authentic Mexican beer you can find (other than Bohemia which started in Czech and moved to Mexico)
