MSU vs. Iowa

I'm gonna save us all a lot of time. Iowa fans will think Iowa will win. MSU fans think they will win. We'll tear each other down and call each other arrogant. In the end, we won't know who will win until the game is over. One thing is certain. That is, Iowa will represent the West. MSU needs to take care of Penn State to enter the discussion. Focus on that game first.

Yes, we both got work tob-do.

should (could) be a good game - i welcome it. nothing about MSU makes me think we should just take consolation. to the OP, do you think iowa should just concede? (serious question, i don't see your original post as being too pissy)

If we can do a decent job against the pass it should be a good game. Michigan State and Ohio State I can handle a little smack talk from. They have proven to be conference bad asses over time. Now teams talking crap that have losing records or aren't regular top of the mountain teams, screw them ;)

I think it will be a good game between two good teams...but both still have work to do first. It's gonna be fun.

I think the bucks would have been an easier victory but I'll settle for a hard fought win, iowa 30 MS 28. We gotta play the underachievers first, however.

Love the matchup because Iowa doesn't have the skill at WR to exploit our secondary.

Cook will pass it on you all day.

My biggest worry is also cook against our soft coverage. But, if we make it past Nebraska, who knows, it's why they play the games.

Only 3 teams have a winning record against MSU. Those schools are Ohio State, Michigan, and Iowa.
That's kind of amazing and pretty cool if true.

It has the potential to be a very good game.

Let's both take care of business this weekend and then see each other in December!

Save time? This is a college football message board. I'm here to waste time. ;-)

Beatherd has the skill as a dual threat (unlike Barrett who has no passing skills whatsoever) to negate your supposed advantage in the secondary.

But I agree, Cook will pass on me all day. I'm assuming he'll still be hurt and spend time tossing the pigskin with me while we tailgate outside the stadium.

But ... if he plays, he'll be passing to Desmond King all day ... well, when he isn't lying on his back after Jewell has leveled him.

How much Iowa football have you watched this year?

Iowa has 4 excellent receivers (2 of them are actually tight ends).

Cook will get his yards, but Iowa's offense has been a machine the last several weeks and will absolutely gash MSU's porous defense. Half a hundred is a distinct possibility. Should be quite the track meet.

You guys lost to Nebraska and beat Purdue by 3. Iowa 35-17.
also they are already counting psu as win with all those games you mention. psu is not great but they have a better record than Nebraska, purdont, Rutgers ( 31-24)
