Michigan State taking the fight to Ohio State, and Barrett lookin like Garb. If Michigan State wins they will probably be a top 6 team, so it's not that big of a deal, and most say they control their own destiny to go to playoff.

Wisconsin and Northwestern in a dog fight, most expected Wisconsin to roll. Could use a NW dub as it could propel them into top 15.

Bad call against Bucky. Punt returner waving off teammates to stay away from ball, then picks it up and runs it for a TD. Refs said he was calling for a fair catch.
There have been some game changing terrible calls this year. Jeez, that was bad like Nebby vs. MSU.

Holy shit, that Michigan State player may have just lost them the game. What a completely idiotic play. I'm still in shock:

So what happens in that exact same scenario if a cover guy comes down and absolutely kills him the next time on a fair catch?

Actually that was the correct call. No return man can wave their arms anymore. It used to be allowed, but then some coaches thought the returnee was deceiving the kicking team and put that rule in place a few years back.

I believe any motion of the arms now (not a fair catch signal) is deemed an invalid signal.

Rick Pizzo of BTN posted these tweets by Zeke Elliott of OSU...yikes

More #Buckeyes Elliott:"We should have run more power. We stopped calling plays that worked Disappointed by lack of effort from coaches."

#Buckeyes running back Ezekiel Elliott:"coaching staff didn't put us in position to win. That's a team (Michigan State) we should beat."

Exactly, and Miles Long would have drilled him but he pulled up when he saw the Wisconsin PR waving the UW players away as if he was going to let it bounce. It was the proper call and Fitz was ready to challenge it if it was not called. You cannot signal inappropriately when fielding a punt.

This makes sense; otherwise, when the player is signalling like that for others to stay away, the punting team could just come down and legally drill him, as the play is still live.

So, while it's not a 'fair catch' signal, it is still illegal IF you are going to then field the ball.

They commented on a later punt that he did the same signal; difference there was that he did not then go after the ball or touch the ball.....tough call, but the right call.
