Mulvey

I am guessing because he doesn't trust him on the offensive end. They don't even really look at him on the offensive end. He pulled Traore in the second half because he did something Fran didn't like on the offensive end. I wish he would pull guys for defensive lapses.

Can't disagree - he certainly looks like he can help from defensive and rebounding standpoints.

Welp.... Those are the 2 things that Fran ball values the least.

He should have worked on his 3 point shooting. If he could hit 35%, he'd play starter minutes in Frans "system", even if he gave up dunks every possession.

So sick of Frans sh*t defense and rebounding.

Dembele is more stilted on offense than Mulvey. I just don’t get it.

Got 4 rebounds (3 offensive rebounds!) and blocked a shot in 9 minutes at Rutgers. How is this guy not getting more minutes? He’s a rebounding machine and plays very solid defense. I just don’t get it.

Not to mention drew a charge on the lottery pick that tried to take him one on one.

I remember several years ago Mulvey got some playing time against Hunter Dickinson and looked pretty good. Then rode the bench for a couple years.

His lack of PT is one of the more perplexing things about Fran IMO.

This x1000! I guess on most nights then only Dix stays out there and we play 1 vs 5?

A couple of times during the Rutgers game, I saw Riley doing a really good job of boxing out while awaiting a rebound ... it's something you rarely see among Iowa players.

So this leads me to my wild conspiracy theory. Maybe Riley has been deemed "uncoachable," in that he reverts to the skills and techniques he learned in high school, rather than playing the way Fran teaches.

It makes as much sense as anything else. 😂

I think it sounds logical…😎

Watching Maryland tonite vs Huskers ...Reese and queen are very good in paint.
We will need to use all 12 fouls between Ladji,Riley and Evan Brauns to try to limit those two.

Yep more than coach but a 2nd dad however many on this message board just look for wins and loses and not how a young man is developing to after basketball
Can’t we be appreciative of some of the Fran’s accomplishments and positive qualities while still believing it has been 15 years and is time for change? We can still expect to bring in a good man as next coach.
