Primary yes, he may have ulterior or secondary motives. He also doesn’t want to be arrested for any criminal behavior. His main goal is Mars, he needs NASA, USAF, and other institutions as allies. He wants America to persist long term. Our budget deficit was a threat to that outcome. He wouldn’t turn his attention to it if he didn’t think it was a serious problem that needed addressing.
I'd rather thousands of people abuse the disability system in place than a truly disabled person not be able to get the help they need because the system has been gutted.
