I agree government f*cks up all the time. But two wrongs don’t make a right.
If we are serious about deep budget cuts (which I am all in favor of) then let’s make decisions about what we are stopping in consultation with congress. They appropriated the funds in the first place and the president should understand the consequences of the cuts before making them. Spending freezes and blanket cuts don’t work well in the long run in corporate America (I have done them in the short term myself from time to time, but never for long term implications) and they aren’t going to magically work better in the federal bureaucracy.
Attempting to do this behind closed doors, through normal channels doesn't work,.. Congress can't be trusted to make the correct choices on their own,.. This stuff has to be made public, and congress must be forced to act in full view of the voters...

Again no disagreement. I don’t want it behind closed doors (except for national security related issues). I want transparency, but I also want a reckoning of impact before cutting spending and I don’t want untrustworthy 19 year old hackers doing the work. One guy was fired from his job for attempting to sell secrets to a competitor…it is insane that someone like that is part of this effort. Literally insane. I would hire that person to f*cking dog sit for me, but somehow it’s fine because team MAGA is in charge.
