This isn't an "Always" sort of thing, but throughout the summer months the no pics wife and I usually get a small container of ham salad whenever we're at Fareway.

That was the first thing that came to mind. I'm sure I'll think of more.

I've never been brave enough to buy ham salad. I like ham and I like mayo based salads, but it's one of the few things I've never tried, actually don't see it much down here in FL. What's it like and what do you put it on, like make a sandwich or on crackers? Or eat it plain like macaroni or potato salad?

We always just use it as a dip for wheat thins/crackers. My grandpa used to make sandwiches with it, I'm not sure if that's a normal thing or not though. He used to eat a lot of things in weird ways so if it was something he used to do I have to kinda question if it was normal or not lol

Ham salad on crackers for me. My dad would eat it on a sandwich. Plain ham salad does not sound appetizing to me

We should not just be calling anything a salad just because it has too many ingredients to hold in our hands
Ham salad is a traditional Anglo-American salad. Ham salad resembles chicken salad, egg salad, and tuna salad (as well as starch-based salads, like potato salad, macaroni salad, and pea salad): the primary ingredient, ham, is mixed with smaller amounts of chopped vegetables or relishes, and the whole is bound with liberal amounts of a mayonnaise,[1] salad cream, or other similar style of salad dressing, such as Miracle Whip.[2]

Do crackers eat it with crackers, then?

Chips and salsa from chilis. Sometimes I stop and just get a to go order of chips and salsa no other food

Whenever I go to the local Casey’s I walk around back to the dumpsters. OP’s mom only charges $5 for a BJ. It’s a good deal.
