Nate Stanley scores highest Wonderlic of QB’s

Wondering if the wonder boys & girls of Espin will report on this??

Especially since it puts their 2nd favorite screwel, Tuscaloosa
Junior college, in a not very positive light.

Many posters on here have ragged about Nate's accuracy. In the past week I have watched 5 or 6 of CJ's games on BTN. Granted the games that have been on have been against the Michigans, Wisconsins, Nebraskas, MSUs of the world. In my estimation, Nate's overall accuracy against the better teams was as good if not better than CJ's. Don't get me wrong I loved CJ and greatly appreciate everything Nate did for Iowa football. Neither had great accuracy but they both gave 100% and were winners. Kudos to Nate for being a 3 year team captain, being a workout warrior setting all of the S&C QB records and for being such a studious, intelligent and hard working young man. Here's hoping he gets drafted and makes a lot of money on Sundays even if it is for holding a clipboard!

AMEN man! I love both those dudes. Super proud they were both Hawkeyes!

There are 50 multiple choice questions. Just guessing would give you a 10
Jerry Jeudy only scored a 9----bad guesser I guess. It kind of makes you wonder if Tua, Hurts and Jeudy could have made it thru their freshmen years had they gone anywhere else other than the SEC (or maybe North Carlina).

Vince Young I think.

And you have to remember Darren Davis with a 4.
I think VY got a 6 the first time, but upped it to 14 the second.
One of the Davis brothers got a 4.
Illinois’s pride and joy Jeff George got a 10, and Hawkeye dodged bullet Chris Leak managed to guess his way to an impressive 8.

Nate might well end up steal of this draft. I recall (but forget the name) of the big qb out of washingtonstate who was the number one draft pick in the late 90s but was not quick upstairs. Nate is that guy physically but additionally endowed.

Ryan Leaf was actually the second pick, following some guy named Peyton something. He is known as the No.1 draft bust.

Alabama showing off their academics.
I really wonder who kept these two athletes eligible? Probably both of them just got on the wrong lines when taking the test or they wasn't able to have someone else take their tests like normal:D

Have you ever taken a Wonderlic?

I have no idea how that test correlates to anything that has to do with playing professional football.

Great for Nate, to be sure, because there must be some level of confidence in that test.

Scores from 30-40 should be pretty easy to attain.

Takes about 20 min if you’ve got some free time.

I posted this elsewhere too.
I read that he worked with a QB guru. The guy said his motion didn't have enough rotation(??) and he was bending back and forward for strength and this negatively affected his accuracy on long throws. Maybe he got some workouts for the teams before the virus shut us down.????

I'd like to see what the average score would be for the entirety of the Alabama student body. Tua and Hurts are probably ahead of the curve with all of the tutoring they got to keep them eligible. And just think, both of them probably learned something in college, which puts them in the illiterate category coming out of high school
