Nate Stanley scores highest Wonderlic of QB’s

Most QBs that scored way low on the Wonderlic are busts. Positions that where pure savage aggression is needed tend to fare better. Corner, Defensive line.

Nate one of the best quarterbacks in Iowa history, regardless of Wonderlic. 3 wins over ISU, Nebraska, 3 Bowl wins says it all.

Yes he is.
No it doesnt.
I'll explain 3 wins over ISU and Nebraska isnt saying much if anything. The 3 bowl wins are nice.

ISU saying anything about people getting drafted is beyond funny. We will have a minimum of 3 (probably 4) first rounders in the last 2 years combined. ISU has not had one since 1973! Also, talking about the Wonderlic, Darren Davis has the all time low with a 4 and his rocket scientist older brother, Troy, had a 6. If you add their scores they get up to the illiterate level. Wonder how they both stayed academically eligible for 8-9 years in a row while at ISU when they were both illiterate. Hmmm.

Wonderlic be damned, I hope the Packers draft him so he can just run QB sneaks on 3rd and 3 all day every day.

Tua scores the same as Jameis Winston, buyer beware.

There were a lot of giant red flags with Jameis both mentally and morally. Tua does have added physical concerns but there weren’t questions (that I know of) about his morals and mental capacity prior to the wonderlic score.

Funny of all schools taking a shot at Stanley. Iowa state is the last school that should be doing that considering they went 0-3 as him in games he started.

Holy crap! I'll toss barbs ISU's way for the fun of it, but the total lack of self-awareness here is hilarious. I'm sure someone on Twitter pointed that out, but Nate owned them, and they lost the last one in huge part to a Keystone Cops muff.
I guess when you're currently hanging your hat on your former player catching passes from a future Hall of Famer, while we just had a future Hall of Famer retire......

The other thing that comes out of this from my point of view is a possible need to possibly hire a coach to work on motion with incoming QBs? Not full time, just a mercenary to come in and work with them from time to time.

Maybe look at how we condition QBs?

Nate might well end up steal of this draft. I recall (but forget the name) of the big qb out of washingtonstate who was the number one draft pick in the late 90s but was not quick upstairs. Nate is that guy physically but additionally endowed.

Well, when you have only a couple notable NFL guys in the entire history of your program, you tend to latch onto them.

Clown fans might also remember the ROPE Nate Stanley fired to
ISM in the 2017 Win vs isu, in 4th quarter. Remember that ??:)

Yeah for some reason that fan base likes to rag on Stanley. Long thread on him making fun of his weight as we speak... Yet he was 3-0 against them no turnovers and made big plays when it counted in the 3 games. The big game he had in 17' with clutch throws in the 4th and OT, 18' dropped a dime to Smith with 5 min. when it counted and last year the 3rd and 22 throw to ISM and the huge scramble on 3rd and 11 on the TD drive that he ended up sneaking in.

a couple of them do have a weird habit of bashing Stanley. I can only assume it is their way of supporting their creepy man-crushes on Purdy.

I didn't realize that Nate posted the 5th fastest time for QBs in the 20 yard shuttle at the combine. Quicker than I thought. From various articles of late it appears his draft stock may be rising.
