Early on, thru most of the first half, he seemed a second slow on decisions and was too hasty with passes - overthrew a LOT of passes. Very uncomfortable w/o a run game going to slow down the pass rush.

But he settled in after that TD pass in the first half, and started reading things better, recognized the blitzes and stunts and found open guys. He battled, and damn near won us the game in the 2nd half with that gem to Wadley staring right into the blitz package.

Our O-line needs some work to offer just an extra second or so of pass protection (on plays they DID pick up the blitz, Stanley made them pay for it).

Good things are gonna happen moving forward as Stanley develops, folks. Bank on it.

Could not agree more with this post. He's 12 touchdowns to 1 interception so far this season. That's great at any level. CJ last year would go backwards when facing pressure which generally creates better angles for ends rushing. Stanley steps up, delivers the ball off his front foot and looks poised. Is he always on target? No. But, if he can get those throws down, look out. We have a good one.

Agree Joe - nice post. My question was about his audibles (or play call idk?) - to the short side stretch - was called way too much. To the point of being predictable. No doubt imo Stanley is going to be really good - I just hated that tendency last night.

Stanley is a big guy and not easy to push down. There was one play last night where he threw the ball and got hit. He actually helped the defender get off the ground. The point of this he is big enough to sit in that pocket and find the open target.
