Waiting for the announcement.
Saw this: PAC 12: Decline invitation due to conference tournament conflict
So, there are two wild cards.

Pretty suspect of the Pac 12 to bow out at this point. I'm guessing whoever their champ's coach is didn't like the match up.

Well, either that or the Pac12 decided to schedule their conference tournament at the last minute.

Saw on Pac12 website that Boise state and Oregon State have a dual scheduled next sunday

It sounds like Okie State (at least posters) don't want to participate for a couple of reasons 1) due to injuries at 157/174 (Crutch in a walking boot) , 2) B1G team gets most of the $, 1/2 of all $ gotes to NCWA and only travel money to the non-big ten and 3) protect seeds / don't show too much to PSU.

Either way, the lack of announcement seems to indicate that they haven't finalized the teams yet...

Why do I get the sense that non BIG 10 schools are not over the moon about the Duel Series format of the BIGs vs the rest of the country?
I wonder how they'll do it next year?
The Fun teams vs the Face Mushers?

So...obviously no announcement tonight.

I don't want to be overly negative, but this is amateur hour stuff. Sheesh.

I agree, definitely amateur hour. There was supposed to be an announcement today. Did the powers that be make an announcement today that there wouldn't be an announcement?

And why did we have to pay $15 for a ticket but Indiana is $5? I get the quality of competition thing and the market factors, but if this is a national thing , shouldn't the prices be the same? More clown stuff for an event that will not be in existence in 2017

Is there really a team between NC State, VT, OSU, and Mizzu that you wouldn't go see Iowa wrestling in Carver?

Is this really that bad of a setup for the B1G teams? Other than us going undefeated and beating common opponents by pretty much the same or more than PSU and not getting any #1 votes. Not knowing who we are wrestling a week from the date. Having to do it on a Monday. Having season ticket holders buy another ticket...

Ok it is a shat show.

But it is a chance for a decent dual in Carver. Something that has been few and far between the last few years.

Willie Saylor tweeted that the NWCA will release its "Bowl Series match-ups" live on FloRadio at 11:00 a.m. EST.

Correct, the good dual was in Kinnick =)

Below is a look at the eight duals comprising the NWCA National Duals Championship Series.

Friday, Feb. 19, 8:30 p.m. ET: Iowa State at Minnesota
Saturday: Feb. 20, 8 p.m. ET: Lehigh at Rutgers
Sunday, Feb. 21, 1 p.m. ET: Appalachian State at Indiana
Sunday, Feb. 21, 3 p.m. ET: Missouri at Nebraska
Sunday, Feb. 21, 2 p.m. ET: Virginia Tech at Michigan
Sunday, February 21, 5 p.m. ET: Oklahoma State at Penn State
Monday, Feb. 22, 7 p.m. ET: Edinboro at Ohio State
Monday, Feb. 22, 8 p.m. ET: NC State at Iowa

NC State Matchup

Iowa 6 matches to 4, with 184 being close to a tossup. Brooks will need to bring his A game. Good opportunities for Grothus, Coop, Rhoads, and Stoll to make a spalsh.

Interestingly, this is still not on the NWCA website.

I believe Iowa State and Minnesota were already scheduled for the 19th. Now the NWCA splits the gate?

Great Matchup. Stoll and Rhoades get smoked-no harm...Brooks can beat Renda again and that should help him come nationals. Brody has a huge opportunity in front of him and we can really see where is. Jack has been pretty darn consistent and is a big 41 pounder like Brody. We should also be able to gauge Coopers progress in the absolutely loaded 157.
